A Little About Us:

Our Mission

The Washington Township Police Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the Washington Township Police Department in Long Valley, NJ. Our mission is to enhance public safety, foster positive community-police relationships, and provide additional resources for officer training, equipment, and community outreach programs. We are made up of Long Valley community members, business owners, and other Washington Township residents who are committed to making a positive change in our community. With your help, we aim to strengthen the department’s ability to serve and protect Washington Township.

Founded by our Current Mayor, Mike Marino and his wife Mary Marino, it is our mission to support the Washington Township Police Department by funding essential programs, equipment, and initiatives that enhance public safety, officer welfare, and community engagement.

Our Founders

Mike and Mary Marino have lived in Long Valley for 20 years and have volunteered in our community from the beginning.

Our goal is to provide a means to give back to our community by supporting the Washington Township Police Department and emergency services and believed that creating this foundation would provide us and the entire community the means to do so.

Our Goals

  • Funding for advanced training in de-escalation techniques, crisis intervention, and community policing.

  • Providing essential tools such as body-worn cameras, protective gear, and emergency response equipment.

  • Hosting events like Coffee with a Cop, National Night Out, and school safety programs.

  • Awarding financial aid to students pursuing criminal justice and first responder careers.

  • Offering resources for mental health counseling, peer support programs, and fitness initiatives.
